Round Heads and Pointed Heads
The Yahoos’ country is going through a political crisis. To solve the problem, tyrant Ibérine plans to divide the people into two groups: on the one hand the good Tchouques with their round head and on the other hand the bad Tchiches with their pointed heads, who have become this society’s scapegoats. To emphasize the universal and poetic strength of Brecht’s “horror tale”, Christophe Rauck has thought up a lively, gay, light-hearted and carnival direction, for he believes that “the characters are sad clowns who sing and dance in a world where the end justifies the means and where the majority of people are sacrificed to the benefit of the richest”.
