Observer
Observe
On 6th August 1945, Hiroshima was wiped off the map and went down in history at once. Today, few traces of this major event remain, except for the Memorial Museum. In 2009, Bruno Meyssat went to Hiroshima with his actors. How is this lone and remote reality to be represented? And what about those human beings both deprived of their substance and children? All that remains is testimonies, silences and forsaken objects. Observer does not tell the story of Hiroshima – nothing can – but it deals with how reality is put to the test when disaster strikes.
